Version 2026-09-16
Elite Pass collects an email address from visitors who choose to join, and a name, email address and short description from anyone who sends a consultancy enquiry. Nothing is collected unless you type it in.
There is no advertising on this site, no advertising pixels, no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics. We do use temporary first-party session storage to remember how you arrived, which is described under Cookies and browser storage below. If anything else changes, this page changes first.
What we collect, and why
When you join early access we store your email address, the fact and time you consented, which page you signed up from, any interests you select, and, if present, standard campaign parameters in the link you arrived by.
We use it for one purpose: to send you Elite Pass research updates, product milestones and early-access announcements. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share your address, and we do not send betting selections.
What we deliberately don't collect
For early access we don't ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth, betting history or stake sizes. A consultancy enquiry asks for your name and, if you choose, the organisation you represent — see Consultancy enquiries below. We never ask for proprietary rules, code or datasets through any form. We don't store your IP address; for abuse control we keep only a one-way hash of it, from which the original address cannot be recovered.
Consent
The consent box is never pre-ticked, and consent is never bundled into other terms. We use double opt-in: after you submit, we email you a link, and you are added to the list only when you click it. Until then your record sits unconfirmed and receives nothing further.
We record the moment consent was given and the version of this policy in force at the time, so the record can be checked later.
Consultancy enquiries
If you send an enquiry from the Consultancy page we store your name, your email address, the organisation you give if any, the short description you write, whether you asked for an initial consultation or an NDA, the time of the enquiry and a one-way hash of your IP address for abuse control. We use it for one purpose: to reply to you and to scope the work. It is not added to any mailing list, and sending an enquiry is not consent to marketing; that consent is a separate, un-ticked box that lives only on the early-access form.
The enquiry is stored in the same Cloudflare database as the subscriber list, and a copy is emailed to the founder through our email provider so it can be answered.
If you contact Elite Pass about consultancy and do not proceed to an engagement, we normally retain the enquiry and related correspondence for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact. This allows us to respond to follow-up questions and maintain an appropriate record of the enquiry. After that period, we delete or anonymise the information unless we have a legal or operational reason to retain it for longer.
If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, relevant records are retained separately in accordance with the requirements applying to that engagement.
Unsubscribing
Every email carries a working unsubscribe link. One click, no login, no questions. We keep a suppression record afterwards. That record is what stops you being accidentally added again. If you unsubscribe and later sign up again, we treat it as a fresh consent and ask you to confirm again; we never silently reactivate an old one.
Who processes your data
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which also stores the subscriber database. Email is delivered by a third-party email provider. Elite Pass is operated from the United Kingdom.
How long we keep it
Active subscribers: until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribed addresses: retained as a suppression record so we don't re-contact you. Unconfirmed signups are removed if they are never confirmed.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to its use, at any time, by email. We'll act on it without argument. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly
necessary cookie for security and abuse prevention. When you arrive on the site we set one
first-party cookie, ep_ft, that lasts thirty minutes and holds only a label
for where you came from (for example “search” or “direct”) so
that the page you arrived on is not mis-counted as your second page. It carries no
identifier, is never read by anyone else, and expires on its own. Our own staff browsers
carry a second cookie, ep_internal, whose only value is the digit 1: it marks
our own checks of the site as internal so they are counted separately from visitors. It
is never set for visitors and identifies nobody.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking. We may use temporary first-party browser session storage to remember how you arrived at Elite Pass while you move between pages — for example, that you came from a link in a particular article or campaign. This lets us understand which of our own research, links or campaigns led to an enquiry or signup.
That record holds only the link information your own browser already sent us: the source, medium, campaign and content labels on the link you followed, and the first page you landed on. It contains no name, no device or browser profile, and no identifier for you. It is limited to the current browsing session, is deleted when you close the tab, and is not used to track you across other websites. If you sign up, those labels are stored with your enquiry so we know which piece of our work brought you here.
Counting visits, without identifying you
We count, on our own servers, how many browsers reach a short fixed list of pages and steps each day. The list is limited to things like the home page, today’s card, the Gold page, the Race Check page, the Consultancy page, a form being begun or submitted, a confirmation, and a sign-in. On the Race Check page we also count that someone narrowed to a course, opened a race, and whether that race carried a read — but never which race it was. The race you choose stays in your browser and is never sent to us. On the Consultancy page we also count that one of its two enquiry buttons was pressed, that the NDA box was ticked, and that the enquiry form was begun — never what was typed into it.
We also count how many times each published article is viewed each day, without recording which browser viewed it.
To avoid counting the same browser twice in a day we create a short scrambled code from information your browser already sends us with every request, together with a secret that we hold and the current date. The result cannot be reversed to identify you, it cannot be linked to your email address, and because the date is part of it, the code changes every day and yesterday's cannot be worked out again. The stored record contains no page address, no time of day, no name and no email address. It records only that on a given date one browser reached a given step, and how many times, together with the campaign label of the link that brought them if it was one of ours.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we count nothing at all. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding whether our own writing reaches anyone, and you can object to it at any time using the contact details below.
Payments
Elite Pass currently takes no payments. When it does, card details will be handled entirely by a regulated payment provider on its own hosted pages. Elite Pass will never see or store card numbers. This page will be updated before that happens.
